Tales From the Acker-Mansion

In 2016, the Famous Monsters team decided to put together a comic book anthology to honor Forrest J. Ackerman’s 100th birthday. It was no small feat, but we eventually wrangled enough celebrity creators (e.g. John Carpenter, guitarist John 5), respected writers (e.g. Richard Christian Matheson, Joe R. Lansdale, William F. Nolan), and superstar artists (e.g. Ken Kelly, Sanjulian, Bob Eggleton) to populate the book with strange tales, and we funded everything on Kickstarter.

“Insectophilia”, written by Holly Interlandi and illustrated by Patrick McEvoy, is a kind of cautionary tale about human coupling and the lives of insects.
