HOLLY INTERLANDI IS A WRITER AND EDITOR WITH OVER 12 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE PUBLISHING FIELD.
Her most recent projects, both editing and writing, have landed in the comic book industry; however, she has also published short stories, book reviews, poetry, personal essays, articles, interviews, and editorials.
Holly received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing from University of Southern California in 2005. She previously attended The College of Wooster, majoring in English.
As a fiction writer, Holly started with “short story wars” against her sisters at age 10 on a Brother word processor and didn’t really slow down from there. She won a statewide poetry contest at age 14, published her first short story at 19, and continued to write and publish fiction throughout her college and bookstore retail years. She ultimately collected the stories into an e-book called LOUNGE TALES.
Holly began her editing career after college as a freelancer, penning articles and proofreading novels before ultimately joining forces with Famous Monsters of Filmland as its Copy editor, Senior writer, and eventually Executive Editor. The magazine was first published in 1958 and is now a multimedia company with an events division, television show, and comic book line, American Gothic Press (for which she serves as Editor-in-Chief).
While in college, Holly wrote a novel called THE LAST SONG. After fifteen years of pitching it unsuccessfully as prose, she finally landed at Black Mask Studios, where LAST SONG. is currently being published as a 4-issue mini-series.
Holly lives in Los Angeles with her very awesome dog.
